Sablono 2.14.2 was released! From now on even multilingual project teams can easily collaborate using the Sablono platform. Furthermore you can now update deliverables which were imported from Excel lists to the newest version of that lists. The whole update procedure for schedules was also improved.
Sablono offers very detailed process planning for the tasks of your schedule. Defined processes will be saved in reusable templates which can be assign to any number of deliverables with just a few clicks. These templates consist of activities and groups of activities. If you are working in a multilingual project team you can now translate those activities. Your translations will e.g. be shown in the Inspect app to make sure that every partner is able to understand the process and control it correctly. If you are working in a monolingual project team you may simply use the new field to attach a description or note to your activities.
Furthermore Sablono now offers the possibility to update not only deliverables that were imported from a Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject or Oracle Primavera schedule, but also deliverables which were imported from Excel lists (e.g. lists of deliverables or rooms). That means that you may now work on your Excel lists even after importing your first version to the Sablono platform, since you can easily update the data to the newest version of your list.
Last but not least the update procedure for imported schedules has been simplified: If you imported deliverables to the platform and chose to delete them afterwards those deliverables will not be imported again when you update your data to a newer version of your schedule. Instead they will be shown to you in a list during the update process and you may decide if you want to import them again or if they should stay deleted.
For example: You imported your schedule containing 7000 tasks from Asta Powerproject. Even while importing you knew that you don’t want to track the progress of all 7000 tasks with Sablono. Instead only 4500 are relevant. Because of this you choose to delete the other 2500 tasks from the Sablono platform with a few clicks. Your project starts and your partners use the Inspect app to track the progress of your deliverables. You export the collected progress values from the Sablono platform and use it to adapt your schedule to the actual state of your project. Since you also want to see the new version of your schedule on the Sablono platform you decide to update the deliverables by importing your schedule again. Obviously the new version of the schedule contains all 7000 deliverables again. During the update procedure Sablono detects that you have chosen to delete 2500 of those deliverables once before and you will be asked whether you want to import all 7000 deliverables or just keep the 4500 which are currently available on the platform. you decide that the second option is better suited to your use case.
